Turning Point USA (TPUSA), Charlie Kirk’s annual gathering of conservative movers and shakers was held July 11-13 in Tampa, Florida with an attendance of 7,000. An estimated 300,000 watched online either during the event or afterward. That number will continue grow in the days ahead.

Mr. Kirk’s organization is reputed to be the largest conservative youth movement in the U.S. with a presence on more than 3,500 colleges and universities, employing a staff of 450, with a yearly budget of $80 million.

On July 12 President Trump “suggested” to Kirk that he back off reporting on the Epstein client list. Voila, two days later on July 14 Charlie complied, issuing a servile, “Don’t Question Authority” mea culpa:

“Honestly, I’m done talking about Epstein for the time being. I’m going trust my friends in the administration, I’m going trust my friends in the government to do what needs to be done…”

Hoo, boy is he naive. If this is what MAGA constitutes it’s just another racket.

In the course of Tucker Carlson’s speech at the TPUSA event he courageously held aloft the banner of America First, arguing for non-intervention in foreign wars (his peace activism is denigrated as “isolationism” by the corporate media). Carlson was also critical of U.S.–Israeli entanglement. He issued a call to revoke the citizenship of any American who serves in foreign armies (approximately 23,000 U.S. citizens are currently members of the “Israeli Defense Forces”).

Furthermore, Tucker alleged that Jeffrey Epstein was working on behalf of Israeli intelligence (Mossad) in sex-trafficking blackmail operations. He stated that it’s perfectly legitimate to ask “on whose behalf” Epstein’s predation network was functioning. Tucker didn’t explicitly mention that Gaza genocide but he cut the legs out from under it by urging the US to end its subservience to the Zionist state and the enlistment of Americans in its army of annihilation. Bravo.

Steve Bannon, Trump’s 2016 campaign chief who in 2022 was railroaded to prison for four months for refusing to obey a House subpoena (Eric Holder escaped prosecution for the same offense), articulated sixteen minutes worth of high-minded, defiant rhetoric, quoting in Latin the ancient Roman Republican statesman Cato the Elder in motivating the crowd to crusade to extirpate the Deep State.

It was moving and passionate and would have been something more than a farce had Mr. Bannon even briefly alluded to the Deep State’s enablement of a little something known as the genocide of the Palestinians of Gaza.

Steve evidently believes he can’t protest the sacrifice of Arab innocents to Molech in Palestine without detracting from his battle with Molech in America.

Bannon quotes the ancient Romans. Let’s go back further, to the Greeks. A person like him, of “double mind” or psyche (δίψυχος) is pressured psychologically between two opposing beliefs and identities. A mind—or a movement—divided against itself cannot stand. We have Jesus as surety for that fact.
