Preposterous Propaganda: Nick Fuentes and the Rehabilitation of Hitler
Meme-Driven Neuro-Engineering Substitutes for Rational Thought

On November 24, 1941 Oberstleutnant (Lieutenant Colonel) Helmuth Stieff, Chief of Operations in Field Marshal Günther von Kluge’s Fourth Army, wrote from Russia to his wife Cäcilie in the German homeland: “The war is utterly different to how it is portrayed to you by the preposterous propaganda.”
(“Der Krieg hier ist ganz anders, als er euch durch die unsägliche Propaganda dargestellt wird.” Cf. Horst Mühleisen, Hellmuth Stieff: Briefe [Siedler Verlag, 1991], pp. 137–139).
Tucker Carlson, October 28, 2025: “They call you Hitler all the time...”
Nick Fuentes: “They call me Hitler all the time...I don’t hate Hitler. Aspects of his ideology were right, and that’s why they freak out.”
Nick Fuentes (later in the interview): December 18th—I remember because that’s an important date to me.”
Tucker Carlson: “Why?”
Nick Fuentes: “It’s Joseph Stalin’s birthday. I’m a fan.”
Tucker Carlson: “You’re a fan of Stalin?”
Nick Fuentes: “Always an admirer.”
Journalist Ron Unz: “Two weeks ago, Carlson interviewed Nick Fuentes, a young right-wing podcaster who had become notorious for his strident criticism of Jews…Fuentes’ audience had been growing rapidly…In the past, Carlson had casually dismissed Fuentes…(b)ut once they came together face to face for more than two hours of conversation, they seemed to get along quite well…This was the longest video segment I’d ever seen of Fuentes…and I thought he came across quite well. Most importantly, he seemed completely sincere…That long interview has been viewed 5.7 million times on YouTube, with many millions of additional views on Twitter and other video platforms…”
An Introduction to Meme-Driven Neuro-Engineering
The preceding 167 words are hot takes bereft of evidence, inducing cognitive diminishment and fragmentation.
The result is not an expansion of thought or the advancement of knowledge. Those qualities cannot exist in a filter-bubbled echo chamber.
In the 21st century, preposterous machine-driven propaganda succeeds as a meme consisting of copying fidelity, emotional resonance, and transmission efficiency.
A contagious meme goes viral even if it misdirects and obfuscates, copying itself to millions of minds within hours.
Copying fidelity registers in the mind of the percipient as emotional resonance. The audience feels that it “Sounds right.” This is non-rational. It achieves agreement from the percipient absent fact-checking “friction” (as the magi term it).
A meme’s reach often depends upon a simple core and a tribal signal-emotional hook that rewards high-arousal, low-effort content. “
Us vs. Them “tribal memes spread 3× faster in echo chambers.”
A meme is engineered so that facts subversive of the tribal signal (such as I will present herein) are dismissed as trivial nitpicking, “making a mountain out of a molehill.”
This is a reversal of the reality that a meme that has “gone viral” is the mountain.
The molehill is the tiny voice of factual dissent delegitimated due to its diminutive “loser” status.
Size matters: the meme’s high arousal constitutes its validation. Because it “went viral” it has winner status and the validation that accompanies that stature.
Contrarian truth which obtains a comparatively small audience is dismissed as immaterial. It is invalidated on the basis of its obscurity. At this point the gate-keeping function of meme technology becomes transparent: the advancement of knowledge is canceled as a result of an algorithmically-bred popularity contest.
This mind control is exerted upon an audience convinced it is defying mind control.
A foul-mouthed degenerate who “pops off real quick” and invokes the name of Jesus Christ in the same breath in which he employs the depraved “mother-f—-ker” obscenity is an unconscious Talmudist trashing the very standards of self-respect and self-control which are the indispensable, non-negotiable constituents of our civilization.
This debased theater is performed for the sake of what — shock value? Incoherent, self-canceling Stalin-Hitler idolatry?
Let’s Get Specific
Background
In 2025 youth Right and Left have begun to desert Israeli supremacism. Holocaust exploitation and anti-Semitism incrimination have failed to stem the tide. Scribblers at newspapers such as the Wall Street Journal blame everyone and anything for this U-turn: “self-hating Jews” (Max Blumenthal, Gabor Maté, Norman Finkelstein, Jewish Voice for Peace, Halachic Left), the International Criminal Court, Muslims, Zohran Mamdani, Christians, Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie, Democrats, Ro Khanna.
Every possible negative motivating factor for the repudiation of Zionism is identified other than the gruesome one staring these baiters in the face, the slaughter of 100,000 Palestinians in the holocaust in Gaza — a mortality figure which takes into account estimations of the number of bodies lying under 50 million tons of bombed rubble.
Debate rages concerning the extent to which the immensely popular youth leader Charlie Kirk was evolving away from his customary denial of the Gaza genocide (early this year he characterized the charge of genocide as “repulsive antisemitic blood libels”).
In the weeks preceding his September assassination, he gave indications that he was deeply offended by dictates from his donors and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu calling on him to enforce Zionist orthodoxy. His disgust manifested in speaking invitations to Carlson and Greene at his Turning Point USA (TPUSA) gatherings.
A September 3 email to TPUSA board members, obtained by Mondoweiss, documents Kirk questioning whether “unwavering support for Bibi [Netanyahu] is worth the moral cost,” alluding to Gaza’s death toll as “hard to ignore.”
