Immanentizing the Lexicon: Transgenderism's Language Police Take Command

Here’s an issue as raw as a scraped knee; as fraught with the possibility of cancelation of a writer’s cri de coeur as any choc du mois. This is outlaw territory and the non-conformist who ventures into it risks his visibility in the social media firmament by daring to insist on le mot juste, in contrast to the prescribed Newspeak cant.

Androgyny as the prerogative of the artist is not the point here. David Bowie’s cross-dressing was postlapsarian theater of the fallen, with a history extending back to the homoerotic innuendo and female impersonation of Protestant England’s Shakespearean stage, where women were forbidden to act, and where boys played female roles and became pederastic love objects.

No lucid person actually believed that the rocker Bowie, or the boys acting the roles of Juliet, Ophelia and Titania Queen of the Fairies at the Globe Theater in London, were anything other than imitators undertaking impressions of the feminine. It was the stuff of a midsummer night’s dream, “of imagination all compact,” reality consciously burlesqued. Any attempt to assert that those fellows actually were women would have gained the speaker a brisk carriage ride to Bedlam.

In 1632, Parliament’s Puritan legal scholar William Prynne published his tome, Histriomastix: The Player's Scourge, or Actor's Tragedy, arguing for a ban on theaters, partly due to the prevalence of cross-dressing (Prynne’s book was banned by the Anglican church. King Charles I sentenced him to life imprisonment).

Like Halloween, female impersonation we will have with us until Judgement Day. However, the semantikos of demanding submission to the biological impossibility that persons with xy chromosomes are actually persons with xx chromosomes, is an order of magnitude beyond rock and roll ribaldry, theatrical antics and same-sex attraction.

Concerning the xy = xx sophism, we apply George Orwell’s observation about an earlier outlandish fallacy, “You have to be an intellectual to believe that—no ordinary man could be so stupid.”

Occult Connection: The Convergence of Scientism’s Transgenic and Transgender Creations

Xy = xx is an invocation energizing a Jungian archetype, the Kabbalistic Adam Kadmon—revived in central Europe by the Rosicrucian camarilla about the time Prynne was penning his jeremiad. Here we encounter a sorcerous précis engineering the human person by literary means that today we would term neuro-linguistic programming.

For this to succeed a newly scripted reality must be imposed, first through the soft power of virtue-signaling and appeals to libidinal autonomy and liberation, and when that fails, intimidation and self-censorship; and for the absolutely intractable, loss of reputation and cancelation of career and livelihood. Draconian punishment is the order of the day in lieu of a discussion and debate which would unveil the essentially preposterous nature of the sacred belief. Unfortunately in the eyes of fanatics, their “truth” cannot be debated. Those who reject the “truth” of xy = xx (or vice versa), are embracing error and error has no rights. This is the doctrine of the Inquisition, dusted off and reborn 500 years later by “progressives.”

Michael Maier’s Emblem 33 (cf. Hoffman, Twilight Language [2021]), p. 247)

The creation of a “novel hybrid species” of human was set forth by the Rosicrucian Michael Maier, Count of Palatine, in 1617. In the 33rd “emblem” of his profusely illustrated manifesto, Atalanta Fugiens (“Atalanta Fleeing”) he depicts, as one of the “Secrets of Nature,” an ideal human —one possessed of male and female genitalia— personifying the foundational Rosicrucian text, The Chemical Wedding of Christian Rosenkreuz (1605), written by Johann Valentin Andreae and the “Knights of the Golden Stone.”

Maier’s Rosicrucian alchemy synchronized with the furore generated by the European intelligentsia’s fascination with the recently published “Rosicrucian Manifestos,” consisting of the Fama Fraternitatis (1614), Confessio Fratenitasis and Consideratio brevis (1615). The Fama and Confessio are believed to have been authored by Andreae and his “Tübingen University Circle,” including Johann Arndt, Tobias Hess, and Abraham Hölzel, among others.

According to Joscelyn Godwin in Rosicrucian Trilogy, “Both works were published by Wilhelm Wessel, the court printer of Kassel, with the explicit permission—perhaps even on the orders of the ruler, Landgraf Moritz of Hessen.”

These texts proclaimed the existence of the “Fraternity of the Rose Cross” and the dawn of a new age of “Magic, Alchemy and Cabala” (Kabbalah), with the mandate of expanding of man’s power over nature. The Rosicrucian manifestos reflected Paracelsus’ anticipation of the capacity of human brain power to create “new forms of life,” as the “Anima Mundi” (Spirit of the World) dictates (compare 2 Corinthians 4: 3-4).

Then as now, command over language (what the Rosicrucians termed a game, “Ludibrium”), and its sublimation to the distorting prism of revolutionary social engineering in the name of science, was a crucial factor in the advancement of their occult mission.

“A Secret Society that would incorporate Science”

“Andreae’s extraordinary concept, a ‘literary game,’ or ‘Ludibrium’ (as he would later call it), the creation of a secret society, combined with a very serious call for a radical new reformation that would incorporate science...That the sciences are thought of in Renaissance Hermetic-Cabalist terms as related to ‘Magia’ and ‘Cabala’, is natural for the period.” (Frances Yates, The Rosicrucian Enlightenment [Oxford University, 2002], p. 67, emphasis supplied).

A premonition of the infernal marriage of scientism with “Magic, Alchemy and Cabala”—“the capacity of human brain power to take command” which was initiated by the occult imperium in its Rosicrucian manifestation—is afforded by the accelerating creation in our Century 21, along lines of laboratory-conceived artificial creatures and genetically modified (GMO) crops—plants that cannot occur in nature.

In this time of the Revelation of the Method, comparatively little dissembling is required to propagate public acceptance of laboratory-conceived beings. Not only is the unnatural “Frankenstein” aspect acknowledged, after a pro forma nod to anxiety about “unproven forms of intervention and the unintended consequences,” the abominations are promoted as the fulfillment of scientific inevitability.

In the Wall Street Journal of May 1, 2021, “environmentalist” Nathaniel Rich, author of Second Nature: Scenes from a World Remade, brazenly promotes, with utopian blandishments, the Rosicrucian vision of institutionalized tampering with nature, using  “scientific” laboratory processes by which transgenic species such as humanoid-monkeys are made:

“In...recent scientific milestones you can make out the sharpening contours of our unnatural future...researchers in La Jolla, California, and Kunming, China, announced that they had successfully implanted human cells into macaque monkey embryos. The experiment suggested it would soon be possible to engineer a novel hybrid species: a human-monkey chimera...scientists have created transgenic species for decades.

“We’ve already seen ‘humanized’ pigs, cows and rats, and the first Covid vaccines available in the U.S. were initially tested on mice implanted with human genes….The future now emerging is one of unabashed, targeted interference in natural processes, through the manipulation of genetic codes.....The word ‘monster’ comes from Latin monere, ‘to warn, remind,’ a root shared by ‘premonition….monsters serve a crucial function. They invite us to confront what’s coming, to accept techniques for reshaping reality...”

The surgical and chemical modification of humans necessary to render them transgender is the product of an unabashed, targeted interference in natural processes. Neither the Wall Street Journal nor any other major medium of mass communication makes any significant effort to hide this man playing God obscenity.

The transgender tribe demands that we submit to their reshaping of reality. It is strictly taboo to do otherwise. Those who defy the taboo are guilty of hate speech which in turn makes members of the tribe feel “unsafe.” This primitive, partisan mentality possesses a sophisticated post-modern cultural velocity and corporate cachet, bestowed by capitalism’s familiar, we-sold-them-the-rope-to-hang-us-with, avarice.

The alliance between capitalism and the transgender revolution has led to the latter’s capture of the moral high ground. Among elite liberals who dominate Hollywood and the New York media, it is unthinkable to dissent from the medical-industrial complex’s “scientific consensus” which proclaims that grisly, irreversible surgeries and “puberty-blocking” drugs are the human right of children and their parents. Here we are in the domain of religion, with all of the resistance which irrational mystification has historically mustered against heretics.

The Right wing’s revered “market forces” are the amoral engine of the extirpation of conservative family values and ancient verities. The Money Power is the fuel by which transgenderism’s doctrine has become an article of faith among our self-appointed Overlords.

The Transformative Psychology of the “The New Normal”

Transgender capitalism views the recent retreat by Bud Light and Target department stores, as transitory as segregationist George Wallace blocking the entrance to the University of Alabama sixty years ago to prevent the enrollment of black students.

They foresee resistance to the surgical and chemical gender transformation of youth ending in the same trash can of history as did Gov. Wallace’s bigoted resistance to integration, which for a time predominated in the South, putting up a stiff fight before it was overwhelmed by relentless government, media and “market forces.”

The momentum of reaction is always temporary. The Right wing opponents of transgender occultism are reacting to a vision that has had the wit to dress in the habiliments of love and toleration, while casting the Right wing as ugly nay-sayers on the wrong side of history.

Transgenderism has been invested with a sense of inevitability. Like Gershwin said, it ain’t necessarily so. However, transgenderism’s foes are ignorant of the secret society arcana of which the current farrago is but one chapter in the long occult march across recorded time, from hermaphrodite, to homunculus, to transgenic and now, transgender. Ecologists of the natural order of the universe are vastly outclassed in terms of understanding the nature of the enemy and restoring the equilibrium of the natural law.

Continuous acculturation inevitably wears down resistance, creating that most potent of all psychologically transformative processes — “the new normal” — accompanied by the ultimate riposte to “hopelessly outdated bitter enders,” to “Get over it. Move on!” In the face of previously “unthinkable” transformations, such as the legalization of homosexual marriage, Americans have eventually come around to submitting to the engineers of the Brave New World.

The goal posts have been moved time and again. Now the leaders of the Right have a new “double-dare you” challenge for the Left: “Don’t cross the transgenderism line.” Which is a laugh when you think about all of the other lines in the sand that were eroded by the waters of exhaustion.

Corporate capitalism is predicated on “creative destruction, a praxis introduced by economist Joseph Schumpeter that refers to innovation and technological change which leads to the destruction of existing economic structures, such as industries, firms, and jobs. This destruction paves the way for new structures to emerge, thereby creating long-term economic growth and progress.” (Investopedia; emphasis supplied).

Whenever it gains ascendance (through the legalization of compound interest), the Money Power (not to be confused with non-usurious free enterprise), will always “pave the way” to destruction of traditional family values dismissed as “culturally constituted bias.” This destruction is hard-wired in buccaneer capitalism’s DNA. This fact is not an issue for Mike Huckabee, Mike Pence, Glenn Beck, Ron DeSantis, and the other “conservatives.”They react against a capitalist revolution whose underpinnings they enshrine as “what made America great.” Any alternative invokes the dread spectre of “Socialism!” The schizophrenic elements of the cultural juggernaut they profess to oppose are present in their own reaction to it. This will not end well.

“Pirate-Affirming Medical Care”

Consider the following possible scenario. Arthur is a precocious fifteen-year-old. For nearly half his young life he has identified as a pirate. His parents have purchased for him the short, snug breeches, wide-brimmed black hat, gold-plated earring and toy cutlass. Arthur wears these to school and at home. A parrot was purchased for him on his thirteenth birthday, which he trained to roost on his shoulder.

Arthur has watched hours of pirate movies and perused many books about the sea-faring brotherhood. One volume he read and re-read in paperback until the binding fell apart and a sturdy hardcover edition was purchased for him by his father. Arthur enthuses over Captain Kidd and Blackbeard, yet he most favors Robert Louis Stevenson’s Treasure Island, and one character in particular, Long John Silver, the one legged amputee.

Arthur rigged the rudiments of a peg leg as part of his daily attire: his anatomical leg is tied backward and concealed under his billowing dovetail pirate coat, which has proved awkward and troublesome. His leg interferes with his wooden appurtenance, which will not remain in place due to the presence of his real limb. Over the years Arthur’s frustration and psychological disruption have markedly increased, to the point of mental agony over his inability to realize his unshakable aspiration of a life as an amputee. His bouts of depression have become longer and more intense. Arthur has even considered ending his life.

After more than a dozen examinations by physicians and psychologists, a consensus has emerged concerning the most compassionate avenue for Arthur’s mental well-being: pirate-affirming health care, specifically the amputation of his healthy leg and the fitting of a wooden prosthesis.

As the day of his surgery approached, bigots and haters sought to intervene and block the amputation which his parents, surgeon and a host of psychologists and pediatricians approved. Judges, child protection services and the governor of his state rebuffed attempts to outlaw the amputation. Today Arthur is a well-adjusted, latter-day Long John Silver as well as a spokesperson for young people whose health and well-being depend on physician-approved, elective amputation.

Ten years ago the preceding scenario would have been dismissed as dystopian fiction out of a Shirley Jackson novella, impossible to envision as anything approaching reality. And why shouldn’t youngsters elect to become another Long John Silver? On what grounds would we argue against it?

The program that gains acceptance for the elective mutilation of boys and girls is linguistic: media and physicians conferring the words “affirming” and “health care” on that which is, in reality, mutilating and illness-inducing.

NEWSPEAK LEXICON

Who coined and imposed the misnomer, “Gender-Affirming Health Care”?

Who forced it into the vernacular and caused it to be adopted ubiquitously in a few short years, indeed almost meteorically, by the juvenile court system, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and in the majority of America’s newspapers, TV, radio and social media?

In only a few years it has been certified as the only acceptable designation, inviolably sacrosanct. In comparison, all other descriptions for the elective amputation of girls’ breasts and boys’ genitalia are automatically put down as despicable prejudice.

The investigation of the origin and enforcement mechanisms of this Newspeak dictatorship have been meager. The neglect of the study of the process whereby linguistic revolution has indoctrinated our society and culture, seriously enfeebles the movement to restore balance and sanity. Without a conceptual structure for thinking about language and determining how it is co-opted by pressure groups, we cannot win the war for a natural ecology of human life.

Radical questioning is the essence of science. When that questioning is demonized we no longer have science but Lysenkoism —biology made to conform to ideology, compelled by a neo-Soviet commissariat entrenched in the universities and the legacy media.

Transgender amputations and toxic puberty blockers are contrary to nature. They are propounded not with authentic scientific truth but the oracular prescriptions of scientism which have been ordained by our know-it-all, would-be moral superiors.

These haughty “authorities,” who are no strangers to laying it on thick while talking down to us, are often the same “experts” who have signed off on the alleged safety and healthful value of genetically-modified foods and the transplanting of spider genes in goats.

They profess to offer a better world, yet on closer examination theirs is a kingdom of unhappiness. Nature always bats last in the game of life. Highly profitable elective surgeries and the administration of pharmaceutical drugs in pursuit of a chimera of chromosomal identity-switching, is producing a blowback of misery and psychic dysphoria that is incalculable in its unforeseen consequences.

To assist children in keeping the bodies with which their Creator graced them is categorized by partisans as “abuse and harassment.” The media have made this jaundiced partisan accusation their own. For them there is no legitimate other side with which to debate. They insist that opponents of the transgender revolution are in error, and error has no rights. This is the stuff of nightmares—mob psychology and the brutal compulsion of cancel culture.

“Transphobic”

People who defend children from avaricious surgeons and Big Pharma are presented in the media with a psychiatric-themed pejorative, “transphobic” (fear of trans ideology and people). This is another instance of the subjective and distorting vocabulary of partisans which has been accepted as the default descriptor of their critics.

The presumption is that fear is always wrong. If that’s the case, we expect to see the term Fascistphobic enter the vernacular. How about Naziphobic? It’s obvious to most people that fear of Fascists and Nazis is healthy. To render a healthy anxiety a “phobia” with Freudian connotations, is to insinuate that it’s sick to fear what the Establishment has ruled we must obey.

“Transphobic” bears the linguistic function of transforming those who support nature  into mentally ill reprobates.

Journalist Matt Walsh says he has received the following e-mail from the Thought Police: “My name is Nikki McCann Ramirez, and I'm a politics reporter with Rolling Stone. We are reaching out because my colleague, EJ Dixon, and I are working on a piece about right wing influencers increasingly focusing on posting transphobic content and we are citing Mr. Matt Walsh as an example….”

The arrogance of this statement by Ramirez is breath-taking. She and her fellow guardians of orthodoxy have created a category of heresy, “transphobic content.” The “right wing influencers” who are culpable are going to be deservedly smeared in the pages of Rolling Stone.

“Targeted Misgendering”

On Twitter in early June Jeremy Boering of Daily Wire, and Matt Walsh streamed the documentary “What is a Woman?” free of charge. It’s a thoughtful, compassionate, critical examination of the transgender movement. Twitter’s censors responded by limiting the reach of the film’s audience and labeling it “hateful conduct.” The thought crime at issue was another neologism, “misgendering.” In “What is a Woman?” a father refers to his 14-year-old daughter as “her,” and a store owner uses the “wrong” pronoun in an exchange with a trans person.

Elon Musk, who owns Twitter, over-ruled censors Ella Irwin and A.J. Brown and “What is a Woman?” streamed without restrictions. The  Twitter censorship duo responsible for obstructing the documentary’s reach, quit their jobs and became a cause célèbre in the media, where they were described as “safety executives.” The C-word was omitted.

“Targeted Deadnaming”

You’ve got to hand it to the wordsmiths at Newspeak Inc., “deadnaming” is genius. It’s a macabre and ominous phrase that packs an onomatopoeic punch connoting a serious offense of some type or other. The transgression consists in any mention of a transperson’s former name as it appeared on their certificate of birth. Are you a “deadnamer”? It’s an existential threat. How dare you!

They’re in earnest. Last April in an email to the Wall Street Journal, Ella Irwin stated that Twitter would penalize and “still enforce targeted…deadnaming,” suggesting that Twitter writers who used information on birth certificates to identify a person would be canceled.

Real World Harm

While all people of virtue are expected to forget Audrey Hale, the trans shooter responsible for the slaughter at Covenant Christian School in Nashville last March, we are frequently reminded by the media that speech that seeks to protect children from unnatural chemical and surgical threats to their well-being, can cause suicide — “real world harm”—in youth of a trans orientation.

What would happen if Fascists and Maoists began committing suicide, and otherwise harming themselves because critics were exposing the fallacies of their ideologies? Would this grant the Fascists and Maoists a veto over the free speech rights of those who contest their beliefs?

This blackmail demonstrates that there are no real arguments for the suppression of dissent, except the fanatic’s veto, “I will harm myself if you continue to disagree with me.”

While paying for my university education this writer was employed for more than a year as a hospital worker at one of the largest psychiatric facilities in New York state. Having on one occasion been ordered to assist at a shock therapy session I was outraged by the drugs and electric current administered in that process, which ravages the bodies of the afflicted, who were subjected to intense grand mal seizures. Though a lowly ward worker and in need of a paycheck, I informed the chief of psychiatry that shock therapy was morally wrong and I would henceforth refuse all orders to assist in it. (Thankfully, I did not suffer the consequences of my defiance. The hospital had a union and my steward protected my job).

My defense of gender-confused and gender dysphoric young people is no different from my defense of the mentally afflicted persons at the psychiatric hospital. For that matter, adult trans people have my concern and prayers. Respect for their human dignity should always be upheld.

Should I be cast into outer darkness because my conscience does not permit me to sit idle while children’s bodies are assaulted and maimed for life, and the English language twisted into Newspeak jargon?

In light of Matthew 18:6, Christians bear witness to the harm which the national assault on the imago Dei of America’s children has wrought.

Here I stand, I can do no other.

Someone has to speak truth to power, and risk it all in doing so. If not, we are doomed to inhabit a world where the concept of Decline and Fall is far gone in decrepitude, a world where sane people are insane:

She was nominated to a position of extraordinarily high responsibility, and she was sworn in despite the unbelievable lameness of that answer. And a society that appoints people like that to the highest court in the land is a society that deserves everything it is going to get…”
