There is also a book of interest even though it was written by masonic allies, "Secret Societies: Illuminati, Freemasons and the French Revolution" by Una Birch and James Wasserman.
In French, Bernard Fay has written studies, now showing their age, though in some respects still valuable. Some of his knowledge was obtained by his student, Rev. Fr. Clarence Kelly and is present in the Kelly's book, "Conspiracy Against God and man." Also Rev. Fr. Denis Fahey edited Msgr. Dillon's "Grand Orient Freemasonry, " and Fahey alone wrote "The Mystical Body of Christ and the re-organization of society."
To my mind there has yet to be (in English anyway) a book thoroughly documenting the connection between the Kabbalah and Freemasonry. As you may know, the masonic Lodge is Kabbalism for gentiles. Those who are familiar with the former can see its unmistakable imprint on the latter.
Pope Leo XIII's encyclical on Freemasonry avoided reference to the Kabbalah, which is like writing a cookbook and never mentioning salt.
Pre-Vatican II Catholic writers tended to emphasize Masonry's "Naturalism" and occasionally referred to Judaism's influence with disapproval. Since the post-Renaissance Church was in many respects, effectively at the top, a Kabbalistic ecceslia, consequently Kabbaliastic ties to the Masons were passed over. This was a move applied uniformly.
