The ADL, Elon Musk and Hate Speech

Elon and his “X” (formerly Twitter) social media are being deprived of advertising revenue because he is permitting the advancement of knowledge by scholars demonized by the ADL.

In February of 2019 this writer flew to Chicago for the Nation of Islam’s national Saviour’s Day convention. I had the honor of dining with Minister Louis Farrakhan and leading scholars of the Nation’s Historical Research Department. Believing that I and a companion were of Jewish descent, we were nonetheless treated with great kindness and respect.

Being familiar with my Talmud studies, Minister Farrakhan subsequently invited me to address the 4,000 people assembled for the convention at Chicago’s United Center. I opened my talk, which was recorded and broadcast live to the West Indies, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and America, as follows:

I greet you in the name of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

To the Muslims, As-salamu alaykum (“Peace unto you”).

To the true Jews, Bracha Hatzlacha (“Blessing to you”).

Later in the course of my address I stated, “The word Jew is a holy name.”

The next day, in the ADL’s report on my speech, they omitted the preceding statements. They could not report them and also achieve their aim of turning me into a stereotype of an anti-Semite, so they dishonestly left them out to convey a false impression.

I said not a word about the holocaust, and not a word against any nation of people. I confess to furnishing the audience a synopsis of Talmudic theology and the hate speech contained in many of its texts.

The ADL reported my appearance under the lurid and ridiculous headline, “Notorious Holocaust Denier” appears with Farrakhan. They libeled me with a jaundiced term, intending that the sensationalism, which in no way was a reflection of the content of my speech, would discredit Minister Farrakhan, the Nation of Islam, and this writer.  The ADL depended upon the laziness of outlets like Newsmax to parrot their falsified report without first checking to determine what I actually said; which is precisely what occurred.

This was not my first experience with ADL falsification. In 2003 the group published a pseudo-academic pamphlet attempting to delude people into thinking, “the Talmud only refers to Jesus in a handful of places, and though these references may not reflect the courteous ecumenicism of the modern world, neither are they particularly inflammatory.” (ADL, “The Talmud in Anti-Semitic Polemics, New York, February 20, 2003, p. 11).

For objective students of the Babylonian Talmud, the ADL’s drivel is an insult to our intelligence. On the evidence of its own words, the Talmud represents an institutionalized form of ritual cursing of the name of Jesus Christ. When the textual pieces of the Talmud are fitted together, we find that woven throughout the sacred books of the Torah sheBeal peh (the spurious oral “law” committed to writing after the destruction of the Temple), we discover a staggering hatred of Jesus Christ and His Mother.

We should consider the role cowardice plays in suppressing the truth about the ADL and its indefensible defense of hate speech, about which the ADL makes no significant protest and offers no consistent refutation.

There are independent scholars of the Talmud who are conversant with the hate speech it contains yet whose spineless silence enables the ADL’s selective indignation. They fear being canceled, just as Elon Musk and his “X” (formerly Twitter) social media are being deprived of advertising dollars because he is permitting the advancement of human knowledge by scholars demonized by the ADL and their sycophants.

The blackmail operates by means of this agit-prop: the ADL is said to be synonymous with the Jewish people. Criticism of the ADL by Musk amounts to “anti-Semitic tropes!” Therefore, to keep from being guilty of that thought crime, all virtuous people must support the ADL’s cancellation of thinkers who are its rivals for the minds of Americans, and bankrupt them, by warning credit card companies and banks that process orders for the book sales of dissidents, of the “reputational harm” they will incur for having done so.

September 6, Yair Rosenberg, a staff writer at the Washington D.C.-based Atlantic magazine: “Anti-Semites love to blame Jews for whatever problems they personally perceive in the world. What is being done to the ADL on Twitter right now has little to do with the group’s conduct and everything to do with the symbolic role Jews play in the conspiratorial imagination” (emphasis added). 

Dear Mr. Rosenberg: prove, with documentation, your allegation that “What is being done to the ADL on Twitter right now has little to do with the group’s conduct…” Must we believe this enormity on your authority alone?

An MSNBC pundit writes: Musk “alleged the ADL ‘has been trying to kill this platform by falsely accusing it…of being anti-Semitic.’ He said that ‘based on what we’ve heard from advertisers,’ it’s the ADL specifically that’s responsible for ‘most’ of X’s advertising revenue loss. ‘Document discovery of all communications between The ADL and advertisers will tell the full story,’ Musk said.…It’s troubling that Musk has singled out the ADL among many organizations and critics as the one to blame for his difficulty getting advertisers to stick around on his chaotic platform. Ironically, it seems Musk is toying around with antisemitic tropes in his attempt to clear his name of antisemitism. In targeting the ADL as his scapegoat, he appears to be hinting at the old antisemitic trope that Jews pull the strings in the world economy.”— Zeeshan Aleem, “The twisted logic of Elon Musk’s defamation threat against the Anti-Defamation League.”

If it is specifically the ADL that is indeed responsible for much of Musk’s advertising revenue loss, why does it constitute an “act of scapegoating” to state a truth?

My Letter to the Editor of the Wall Street Journal (refused publication):

In dusting off yet another scurrilous denunciation of the leader of the Nation of Islam, the ADL’s Abraham Foxman (Letters, November 11, 2023), has deliberately obscured what appears to be the core of Minister Farrakhan’s actual jeremiad — his elucidation of Talmudic theology’s role in 1. Obstructing black self-help and economic independence, 2. Branding black people as a hereditary slave race, 3. Diabolic imprecations against Jesus and Mary, and 4. The outrageous teaching of Rabbi Moses Maimonides, who ranks black people midway between human beings and apes. The fact that Talmudic hate speech is never an issue for a corporate media that scrupulously avoids virtually all mention of it, does not make Mr. Farrakhan’s prophetic call for a fair and open examination of the Talmud any less legitimate.  Tracking the influence of Talmudic theology among the oppressors of black people now, as well as its role in justifying the subjugation of the black race in the past, is no less real or urgent because it is denied by monopolistic forces in media and academia.— Michael Hoffman, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho

Approved Hate Speech

The hate speech in the Talmud and its sacred successor texts having halachic (legal) force, is not an issue for the majority of the “Defamation Leagues,” NGO Digital-Hate Countering Centers and bureaucracies of the US government. This is because they are engaged in a charade, not a serious attempt to track all forms of institutionalized hatred weaponized in texts having theological or ideological authority:

The best of the gentiles kill him; the best of snakes smash its skull; the best of women is filled with witchcraft. — Shimon ben Yohai, BT  (Babylonian Talmud) Soferim 15.

Hate published in the Talmud, in the Birkat Haminim malediction, in Maimonides’ Mishneh Torah and Guide of the Perplexed, in the Tanya of Chabad-Lubavitch’s Rabbi Shneur Zalman, and in the books and teachings of the modern Talmudic gedolim such as Ovadia Yosef, Yitzhak Shapira (Torat Hamelech), and Rabbi Saadya Grama, (“Romemut Yisrael Ufarashat Hagalut, —“The Superiority of Israel and the Question of Exile”), are mostly excluded from the study of hatred in America’s universities and by self-appointed “hate-tracking” organizations.

Yet these hate speech texts incite oppression and contempt for Palestinians, black people, Christians and other gentiles.

Let us return to the ADL’s “scholarly and definitive” refutation of my books Judaism Discovered and Judaism’s Strange Gods, in which I assert that Jesus is degraded in the Talmud in a manner unprecedented in the history of religion.

In my Chicago speech I suggested that one could only find an analogous magnitude of hatred of Jesus in the writings of the Church of Satan. The ADL called me names for having stated that truth. They aim to cancel me for publishing these facts which I have been studying in the Talmud of Babylon and dozens of cognate canonical volumes for more than 30 years.

The ADL can’t debate so they calumniate, and work behind the scenes to destroy my reputation and my ability to sell my work, just as they are doing to Musk and his social media enterprise —hoping to either reduce it to an ADL subsidiary, or ruin it. Thus far Musk is fighting back and the media are escalating their aspersions and obloquy.

These are documentary facts, not “tropes.” As for scapegoating—one finds it in the guilt-by-association disseminated to make us appear as though we are allied with the Right wing fever swamp. With that broad brush we are stigmatized and rendered an easy target for cancellation.

Zionist-Talmudic Hate Speech leads to real world harm to Arab civilians in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria

In his text Romemut Yisrael Rabbi Saadya Grama describes gentiles as “completely evil,” constituting an inferior “species.” In his canonical text Tanya, which is the founding document sacred to the Chabad-Lubavitch sect of Hasidism, Rabbi Shneur Zalman teaches that gentiles are extraneous garbage, in whom there is no good whatsoever.

Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, who headed the Chabad (an acronym for the intellectual faculties designated chochmah, binah and da at, i.e. ChaBaD; see Tanya chapter 3) movement in the U.S., explained that, “The difference between a Jewish and a non-Jewish person stems from the common expression, ‘Let us differentiate.’…We have a case between totally different species…The body of a Jewish person is of a totally different quality from the body of (members) of all nations of the world…A non-Jew’s entire reality is only vanity…The entire creation of a non-Jew is only for the sake of the Jews…”

Rabbi Schneerson is second only to Moses Maimonides in the esteem and applause accorded him in the media. Thomas Chiapelas, writing in the Sept. 1 issue of the Wall Street Journal (p. A15), concerning the welcome opportunities afforded his autistic son by his local Catholic school (Mary Queen of Peace), quotes Rabbi Schneerson:

“Many years ago, the father of an autistic child asked for wisdom from Menachem Schneerson, leader of the Lubavitch Hasidic dynasty. The rebbe said this: “Being autistic doesn’t mean they don’t relate to anyone.... To God they relate as well as everyone else, and even more. While they’re not busy with people, they’re busy with God.”

Mr. Chiapelas is most likely unaware of the racism and Talmudic supremacism of Schneerson and the Chabad movement of which he was the final Grand Rabbi. The writer is possibly influenced by the cotton candy spun for Schneerson’s image by the agents of Establishment P.R. who promote him as a light unto humanity while ignoring his hate speech.

This is sardonic given the fact that Schneerson’s master in the Chabad movement, its founder, Rabbi Schneur Zalman, taught that, “The kindness of the goyim is sin—all the charity and kindness done by the nations of the world is only for their own self-glorification” (Tanya, chapter 1).

Chabad Lubavitch founder Zalman taught in the same chapter of his sacred text, “The souls of the non-Jews of the world emanate from the unclean kelipot which contain no good whatever.”

In chapter 6 the founding tzaddik (saint) of Chabad Lubavitch added this wisdom: “The kelipot are subdivided into two grades, one lower than the other. The lower grade consists of the three kelipot which are altogether unclean and evil, containing no good whatever....From them flow and derive the souls of all the nations of the world…”

These teachings of contempt do real world harm to the captive civilian population of Palestine who are regarded as little better than demons by the Chabadniks in the military and among the settlers (one of the latter was Baruch Goldstein, who machine-gunned to death 40 Palestinians at prayer in Hebron in 1994).

Palestinians live under Zionism’s Talmudic apartheid, are murdered with impunity, and dispossessed of their ancestral lands

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, in a March 10, 2019, post on the social media platform Instagram, boldly articulated the unmistakable Talmudic-supremacist mentality: “Israel is not a state of all its citizens,” but rather “the nation-state of the Jewish people and only them.”

Israeli War Crime Directive: The Dahiya Doctrine

The Zionist-Talmudic dogma of the Israeli military is to deliberately authorize the disproportionate use of force against Arabs. This war crime strategy is known as the Dahiya Doctrine, and was unequivocally set forth as Israeli military policy by Army Commander Gadi Eisenkot. Speaking in connection to the city of Dahiya, Lebanon, a suburb of Beirut, which was indiscriminately carpet-bombed by the Israelis in 2006 without regard to the loss of innocent human life, Eisenkot said, “What happened in the Dahiya quarter of Beirut in 2006 will happen in every village from which Israel is fired on… We will apply disproportionate force on it and cause great damage and destruction there. From our standpoint, these are not civilian villages… This is not a recommendation. This is a plan. And it has been approved.” (Reuters, October 3, 2008; italics added).

“Israel’s security” is a refrain in the halls of Congress. The security of Palestinian people cannot be described even as a secondary concern because it’s not a concern in Congress of any kind. Palestinians, in line with Zionist-Talmudic dogma, are dispensable and disposable.

Ira Stoll, former editor of the policy journal of Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, and a columnist for Newsmax, wrote in an Op-Ed for the Wall Street Journal (September 7, p. A15): “The weapons’ industry protects America and its allies, keeping us safe from ruthless enemies who would otherwise exterminate or enslave us. Raytheon helps make weapons systems that defend Israeli civilians against attacks from Iran-backed terrorist groups. These include the Iron dome, David’s Sling, SkyHunter, interceptor systems, and Tamir missiles.”

Defend Israeli civilians.

The other civilians in the region, the repeatedly massacred Palestinians, apparently don’t need to be defended. Why is that? For the sake of the rescue of innocent lives in Palestine, Lebanon and Syria, the connection between Talmudic dehumanization of non-Jews and the Talmud’s current influence over the Israeli military and the “settlers,” needs to be documented and publicized whenever it occurs.

Moreover, the Talmud’s racist disparagement of gentiles ultimately threatens the First Amendment’s protections for speech in America. The rights of Palestinians in the occupied territories to speak freely is restricted by the Israeli military. Palestinians who defy the restrictions are subject to up to ten years in prison. The distance is short from the ADL’s pressure on those who advertise on Musk’s social media and its hectoring of credit card processors and banks to cancel the economic transactions of dissidents — to the next step — working for the day when the authors of essays like this one will be imprisoned, as Palestinian writers and speakers are.

The Middle East Media Research Institute, with headquarters in Washington D.C., is a “monitoring group” that publicizes “extremist comments by Arab and Iranian leaders.”  Needless to say, there is no such institute devoted to alerting the world to the documented hate speech of Israeli leaders.

Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meir, March 8, 1969: “How can we return the occupied territories? There is nobody to return them to.” June 15, 1969: “There was no such thing as Palestinians, they never existed.”

Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin, speech to the Knesset: “The Palestinians are beasts walking on two legs." (Cf. "Begin and the Beasts,” New Statesman, June 25, 1982).

In 1983 Israeli Army Chief of Staff Rafael Eitan informed the Knesset (parliament), “When we have settled the land, all the Arabs will be able to do about it will be to scurry around like drugged cockroaches in a bottle.”

Eitan’s prophecy has been fulfilled. The Israelis confine the Palestinian population of Gaza — more than two million people — to a strip of territory 25 miles long and 7 miles wide. Gaza’s population density of about 5,453 people per square kilometer is among the most crowded on earth. (The government of Egypt assists the Israelis in enforcing this inhuman confinement).

In 1994 Rabbi Yaacov Perrin, in paying homage to mass murderer Baruch Goldstein, stated that “one million Arabs are not worth a Jewish fingernail.”

To pretend that bigotry is a one-way street, that there is no hate worth mentioning or remonstrating in the Mishnah and Gemara (which comprise Talmudism’s halacha), ensures more racism, homicide and land theft against Palestinians.

Think of the sustained outcry throughout the years if it had been discovered that Islam’s holiest book decreed that Maimonides and Menacham Mendel Schneerson are in hell being tormented for all eternity by being boiled in feces. Whole academic departments at universities would be dedicated to determining how the hate entered the holy book and what negative impact it has had on the civilian followers of Maimonides and Schneerson.

But hush! Whisper not a word (!) about the contents of the Talmud’s tractate Gittin 57a. And anyway, we know it can’t contain what Hoffman says it contains. We have the word of the experts at the ADL, who have reassured us that the Talmud’s descriptions of Jesus “may not reflect the courteous ecumenicism of the modern world, neither are they particularly inflammatory.”

If you believe the ADL, there’s nothing “particularly inflammatory” about the statements about Jesus in Gittin 57a. So move on, there’s nothing to see. Most people submit to these orders with a dull conformity that is embarrassing.

I did doubt the ADL; that’s my sin, and it’s Elon’s too. I prefer an Enlightenment standard to the one that ordains Dark Ages punishment for apikorsim “guilty of insulting the sages” of the Talmud. Consequently, years ago I located an uncensored version of the Talmud Bavli and looked up Gittin 57a. Shall I provide you with evidence of the hate speech I found?

To do so is said to constitute “toying around with antisemitic tropes…” and defying the will of the “the premier Jewish civil-rights organization.”

One must take risks for veritas. Exposing the sale of indulgences processed through the Church of Rome’s Fugger bank was a death penalty heresy in the early 16th century. But intrepid dissenters stood up to the threats. It didn’t make them anti-Catholic or anti-Italian. Those are pejoratives that add nothing to our understanding of what was at stake in the struggle for a Biblical standard contra the incremental rise of papally-condoned usury. The stakes are just as high now.

Orwell would have laughed himself silly at the proposition that the dissident scholar who exposes hate speech is guilty of it

I regret to say that Gittin 57a has Jesus in hell where he’s being boiled, and at the same time interrogated, by a translator, Onkelos, who uses sorcery (“necromancy)” to do so. During the interrogation the Talmud has Jesus admit the alleged evil He committed and it has Jesus approve the  punishment visited upon Him: eternal immersion in hot excrement.

Picture the scene: the Son of God, Israel’s Messiah, stewing in fecal matter, and in an act of Talmudic ventriloquism, confessing his “terrible crime” of having criticized the Pharisees who submitted to the fake “Torah” of the “oral law.” To those who detest Jesus, this is a vicariously gratifying scene from the pages of Judaism’s holiest book. For those not so inclined, it is one of the most incontestable and repulsive examples of hate speech in the history of bigotry.

Did you ever hear of it? Has it been examined and deplored in any of the thousands of seminars, synods, symposiums and lectures which churches, universities and corporations sponsor for the study of hate speech? I think not. The omission is breathtaking evidence of the extent to which the issue of hate speech is captive to the higher councils of Zionism and Talmudism.

In a society consisting of courageous freethinkers the distorting prism of this ideological monopoly would cause it to fall into disrepute. Instead, those who prove its existence and impact are damned as haters. Do you spot the racket at work? To venture to reveal the bigotry of the Talmud makes one a bigot. Orwell would have laughed himself silly at the proposition that the dissident scholar who exposes hate speech is guilty of it.

The ADL insinuates that the shitshow is not in the Talmud. Or if it is, it’s another fecal Jesus, not Jesus of Nazareth—(He’s specifically named “Jesus the Nazarene” in the text of Gittin)—if that pilpul fails to persuade, they’ll summon some other lawyer’s loophole; anything rather than admit the truth, apologize, and penitentially make reparation for the anti-Christian hate speech in BT Gittin 57a.

The real anti-Semitic outrage consists in the ADL engaging in falsehood and intimidation in the name of the Jewish people.

Most of the Judaic elders who mentored me in my youth, or who were my companions in college, university and my journalism career, had they known of the contents of Gittin 57a, would have firmly repudiated the bigotry and protested it.

Let’s get past the 39¢ con artistry that attempts to sell us on the notion that pointing out the evils of the ADL, or the Israeli regime, or a stack of hate-filled holy books, somehow grants a free pass to gentile iniquity. Among the most evil miscreants who ever lived was a German (Hitler), a Chinese person (Mao) and a former seminary student (Stalin).

Predatory lending—call it usury or loan-sharking—was first established as a western institution by a proto-Mafia family, the Medici. It helped that their nephew was Pope Leo X. In May of 1515 the pontiff launched the curse of legalized usury on our civilization, yet it is the Jews who have been scapegoated for the crime.

Innocent Judaic people, innocent people of color, innocent Christians and others throughout history, have suffered. Perhaps the questions to ask are, who hasn’t suffered? Does suffering confer the right to make others suffer?

Resisting Ideology in pursuit of History’s Surprising Truths

Despite the impugning of my motives by the mind-readers of the ADL, I believe Christ’s command to love our neighbor as ourselves. All  people qualify for that love. We can’t begin to care for others outside our comfort zone if we are prisoners of what Bob Marley in his song, “Get Up, Stand Up!” termed ism/schism — centuries-old ideologies doing harm and constricting thought in every generation.

Hatred of the genetic descendants of  ancient Israel, whether they are denominated Judeans or Semites is one such “ism.”  That hatred exists and it is despicable. Its provenance however is murky, in that the record shows that some anti-Semitic incidents are staged, and some Neo-Nazi groups have had Zionist funding and clandestine direction.

As I documented in my book Adolf Hitler Enemy of the German People, the Nazi dictator was initiated into the occult by elements within the Thule Society, under the influence of the prisca theologia (universal primordial tradition)—a belief advanced by Helena Blavatsky’s Theosophy movement, together with her concept of “root races,” among which are supposed to be polar Aryans and ape-like subhumans.

The leading Neo-Nazi proponent of this sorcery in the post-Hitler era was Julius Evola, who recognized that Hitler had been indoctrinated by his occult handlers into believing that the magical order entails the creation of an empire whose dictatorship is justified by an unquestioned hierarchical authority.  Three models of this authoritarianism are Kabbalism, post-Renaissance Papalism and the Protestant Divine Right of Kings promulgated by Elizabeth I and propounded as a formal ideology by King James I and Robert Filmer, against which, in an odd symbiosis, the theology of St. Robert Bellarmine, John Calvin and the Puritans militated—leading to the Puritan overthrow and excution of King Charles I.

This history contradicts the Neo-Nazi identification of Calvin and the Puritans with Judaism and the legend of the readmission of the Jews to England under Oliver Cromwell (a scheme which in fact was rebuffed by the Puritan Parliament under the leadership of William Prynne). Because the Puritans helped to revive veneration for the Old Testament as a Christian revelation (within the Pauline theology elucidated in Romans 7-9), they were singled out by pagan “Aryan” and later Nazi ideologues as nefarious “Judaizers.”

Nazism and its post-modern Neo-Nazi subsidiary is always marked by detestation of the Old Testament. This is ironic in that the Nazi animosity depends upon belief in the rabbinic claim that the Talmud is synonymous with the Torah, when in fact, unknown to the Nazi ignoramuses, there are two Torahs, one being the Word of God, the written Torah sheBichtav תּוֹרָה שֶׁבִּכְתָב, and the other the counterfeit, man-made oral Torah sheBeal peh תּוֹרָה שֶׁבְּעַל־פֶּה, each in contradiction of, and inimical toward, the other, as Jesus declared in Mark 7 and Matthew 15, and St. Paul reiterated.

The Thule Dogma

Because Nazism represented the tunnel vision of one godling (the “Führer”), it could not escape the Thule dogma in which Hitler had been initiated, which worked for the extirpation without exception of those identified as racial Israel, and the eradication, through a back door, of the authority of Jesus Christ. This back door is the elimination of the Old Testament as an axis of western civilization, since there can be no authentic Christianity without the Old Testament, in that Jesus and the apostles quoted it favorably hundreds of times.

Nazi racism unjustly lumped Judiac people who had firmly rejected the Talmud and were patriotic Germans who sought to contribute to German science, philosophy and technology, with the Talmudists of the shetl (ghetto).

Furthermore, the Nazis promoted the notion that the shetl Judaics with their Talmud were incorrigible conspirators and shylocks plotting the ruin of Germany. This cartoon-like caricature would prove to be a tragic joke on the German people seduced by it, in that, after 1933, it was Hitler’s own “Aryan” bankers who were Germany’s predominate usurers.

Moreover, it is seldom noted that the Talmud was only weaponized when Zionist ideology gained cachet to act as Israel’s “messiah,” thereby violating the Talmudic halachos which strictly specify that there is to be no resistance to the governments of the gentiles until the Messiah incarnates on earth.

It is Zionist-Talmudism which is the instrument of oppression in Palestine.

Anti-Zionist Talmudism represents no physical threat to Christendom and counsels its adherents to be at peace with all people. The Machiavellian motives for that counsel are beside the point. The counsel itself is genuine. In Palestine Talmudists who excoriate Zionism as a modern betrayal of Chazal (the Sages), have distinguished themselves as stalwart opponents of the Israeli regime and its military, and allies of the Palestinians.

Why were the Nazis killing the largely defenseless and mostly harmless pre-Zionist Talmudists of eastern Europe, while their führer was working to build a pagan imperium that would neuter the Bible and revive the might-is-right Darwinism of ancient diabolism?

Posing these questions is anti-ideological and anti-dogmatic. I lose readers on a weekly basis who, misled by falsehoods concocted by Wikipedia and the ADL (among other hoaxers), view me as a cheerleader for a supposed hidden agenda of Jew hate, concealed of necessity under an academic veneer. This is a mockery. I am the enemy of all ideology. I have one faith: the gospel of Jesus Christ, and one standard of historiography: the epistemology of Charles Hoy Fort, who taught that a sleuth measures a circle beginning anywhere, and one follows the facts wherever they lead, no matter who is infuriated, or which party’s dogma is eviscerated.

I am an equal opportunity offender, not for puerile reasons of nonconformity for its own sake, but for the exhilaration of standing in spiritual union with Jesus when He informs Pilate, “For this end was I born, and for this cause came out into the world, to bear witness unto the truth.”

Jesus was always right. Of course I am not. I can only promise to pray for the grace to continue to measure the circle at any point, and track the data wherever it it is heading, however much it undercuts human prejudgements and the treasured myths of people who imagine I am on “their side.” This is not a game. God save us from the limits imposed by having to defend one side against another. Our obligation is to defend reality in all its life-giving glory.

Dehumanization is the Enemy

Whenever the language of dehumanization is employed by any form of hate speech emanating from any individual or organization; whenever the woman or man of another race, religion or nationality is devalued or demonized and placed outside the imago Dei, then the gates of hell are opened.

In Genesis, Yahweh declared that He created us “In His image, after His likeness….God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.”

God makes that statement four times in two consecutive paragraphs in Genesis 1:26-27. He’s emphasizing the great Truth—the equality of all His image-bearing creatures, black or white, Judaic or not, in His eyes and His law, whereby we are all endowed with unalienable rights.

Let us keep faith with His Truth and refuse to cooperate with any theology, no matter how well protected by layers of censorious thought police, which contradicts the verity of our exalted birthright status, bestowed upon us all by our Creator.

Let knowledge advance without bans or cancellations. May the good and the true prevail in free and open debate and inquiry on Twitter, Substack and wherever the adventure of unfettered learning stirs the human heart.
